Japanese practice Hiroyuki Ogawa Architects have renovated a 61 square meter apartment used for vocational rental services located in Shibuya, Tokyo. The new interior design of the apartment features dark hues with very little natural light which creates a sense of tranquility and relaxation. The apartment is consists of a small kitchen with concrete countertop, dining room with natural wooden chairs and benches. The storage shelves and other small furniture units are made of stainless steel.
The dark interior of the apartment receives natural light through a window on the side. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a glass wall and has carpets covering the entire floor. In contrast to the dark interior of the apartment, the bathroom is finished in white and brown ceramic tiles.
